Warm Season Turf

TDI's Annual Warm Season Turf Program treats Bermuda and Zoysia grass with our biological approach to promote and maintain your lawn's overall health, nutrition, and appearance. This program has been specifically formulated to maximize the potential of your warm-season turf while providing excellent biological benefits to the soil on which it is grown.

Our Warm Season Turf Annual Program includes applications of biological fertilizer, liquid pre-emergent, and soil amendments at the proper time and interval. Broadleaf and grassy weed control is also included throughout the entire program.

Our program consists of 8 applications spaced 4-6 weeks apart. This program includes FREE service calls for any concerns and treatment of difficult weeds like Dallisgrass and Nutsedge at no additional charge.

Each lawn has its own specific needs, and no two lawns are identical. TDI partners with each customer to ensure that your lawn reaches its full potential and that our program achieves its desired results.

Tree & Shrub Care

Ornamental tree and shrub landscapes are a substantial investment for a homeowner, and our program will help protect and grow that investment with each passing year.

Lawn Aeration Service

What is Core Aeration? It is the process of making thousands of small holes in the turf. Soil microbes, like all living things, need air, food, and water to function. These holes allow fertilizer, water, and air to quickly reach the root zone, resulting in new growth and increased root development. Opening up the soil helps reduce thatch build up and soil compaction, allowing your lawn to breathe, which reduces disease and insect pests.

By aerifying the soil, water and nutrients have better access to the root zone of the grass plant. Annual or semi-annual aeration is strongly advised for all lawns on heavy clay soils, those with a thatch buildup, and any other lawn that may need to be thickened up.

Benefits of Core Aeration

  • Aeration removes thousands of small cores of soil from 1 to 3 inches in length. The cores melt back into the lawn with proper watering.
  • The holes left by the removal of these cores catch fertilizer and water. Roots naturally grow toward these growth pockets and thicken in the process.
  • Aeration holes relieve pressure from compacted soils, allowing oxygen and water to move more freely into the root zone.
  • Regular aeration helps thatch break down naturally by mixing the soil cores into the thatch and speeding up decomposition. Performed once or twice per year, aeration significantly reduces thatch and improves turf growth.

Fire Ant Control

Fire ants can cause several problems. Not only are their mounds unsightly, but their stings are painful and can produce welts and severe allergic reactions, in some cases.

Typically, fire ants are most active outside when temperatures are between 65-90 degrees F. If you notice "mounds" in your landscape, do not disturb them. Contact TDI for our Fire Ant application. Our treatment covers all of the bedding areas and the lawn. Guaranteed for 90 days, if applied in Early March, you can get the jump on them before they become a problem.

Flea & Tick Treatment

Environmental conditions such as proximity to woods, open fields, wildlife, and pets can lead to an infestation of fleas and ticks. Fleas must be eliminated from your lawn because they easily move inside on pets or people. Ticks can be a problem in the landscape because they can carry Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, both of which are severe illnesses.

TDI's Flea & Tick Treatment consists of an exterior application to your shrub beds and the lawn as a preventative. You should also treat your infected pets as recommended by your veterinarian. Guaranteed for 90 days after the treatment, we will retreat any area of the property that still shows signs of these annoying pests.
